Tytinjewelry offered advice along with a wax model of a creative ring design!

And a wax model is born. I’m checking to make sure my stone fits before casting this creature. If you as a designer ever have the opportunity to do this, take it! Even though I had the actual stone when designing the CAD, models tend to experience tiny amounts of shrinking when being ‘grown’ and cast. Thorhoy designed, printed, and cast an amazing head for a walking stick! See the printed wax model and cast piece below:

Preparing the walking-stick-handle for casting. Heavy inlets but i don’t take any chances. The 3d wax print alone took more than 50 hours on my SolidScape 3D printer so I don’t want to print it again!
