As 2016 begins with anticipation, let’s take a trip through time and look at the highlights of 2015. It was the year of amazing events for Solidscape.
On February 4, Solidscape hosted New Hampshire Innovation Nights #2, an exciting night for innovators and entrepreneurs in Merrimack, NH. Presenters of new technology products included LifeLight, MyGolfOuting, VGo, VidFall, and SMARTwheel.
New technology that was highlighted that night included:
- the first app controlled Connected Light Therapy Device designed for today’s workstation by LifeLight
- robotic telepresence for healthcare by VGo
- the first intelligent steering wheel cover by SMARTwheel
On Monday, Feb 16th at the Liquid Art House in Boston, MA, Solidscape presented along with other local companies cutting edge technology and design in the 3D printing wearables, fashion and jewelry industry at an event hosted by Additive Fashion.

Spaceship Earth ready for New Adventure
Solidscape headed to Disney World February 26th as Siemens VIP Center hosted a customer event featuring Siemens, Microsoft and Solidscape solutions, including “New Trends in Product Development” held at Siemens

2015 Baselworld Design Competition
On March 21st at Baselworld in Switzerland, Solidscape®, Inc., announces the winners of the fourth annual Baselworld Design Competition.
Every year the Competition showcases innovative designs that embrace cutting edge 3D printing technology. There were two categories this year, Jewelry and the newest category, Fine Art. Jenny Wu Visit to Solidscape HQ
Wearable art designer Jenny Wu visited Solidscape before her line of wearable art walked the runway at Exhibition-in-Motion fashion show! Shown here on Solidscape’s manufacturing floor surrounded by the high precision 3D printing technology that turns her design concepts into reality. Jenny is holding a wax model of her Papilio ring design from her LACE jewelry collection.
On May 23rd in the Imperial Ballroom at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel, the finalists’ pieces of the Rapid Jewelry 3D Printing Design Competition were displayed on the runway in an exciting 3D printed Jewelry fashion show Exhibition-In-Motion by Design Museum Boston and
The exciting fashion show featured technology driven fashion by Nervous System of Somerville, MA, LACE collection by Jenny Wu of Los Angeles and the finalists of Rapid Jewelry Design Competition by Design Museum Boston and sponsored by Solidscape and Keyshot.
Stay Work Play New Hampshire Visits Solidscape HQ
Earlier this year Solidscape President and CEO Fabio Esposito joined the Stay Work Play Advisory Board in support of attracting and retaining a skilled workforce in New Hampshire. Stay Work Play Executive Director Kate Luczko visited Solidscape HQ in June and got to wear the stunning casted LACE Papilio Ring by Jenny Wu as Solidscape President and CEO Fabio Esposito also showed her the Solidscape 3D printed wax model.
Solidscape and Kangshuo Group History in the Making
On July 23rd in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, P.R. China, Solidscape and Kangshuo Group came together to make history at the Grand Opening Ceremony of the first of four 3D printing service bureaus in China. The Opening Ceremony included an opening show, speeches by Solidscape President Fabio Esposito and Kangshuo Group President Bin Liu, a ribbon cutting, and a visit through the new 80,000 square-foot facility that features 100 Solidscape high precision 3D printers. James T. Cook of Tates Gallery also cast commemorative coins for the Solidscape-Kangshuo Grand Opening Ceremony.
Solidscape and Kangshuo Group Host Former Prime Minister of Germany, Mr. Lothar de Maizière
On September 11th, Kangshuo Group President Mr. Bin Liu and Solidscape CEO Fabio Esposito hosted the former Prime Minister of Germany, Mr. Lothar de Maizière at Kangshuo’s massive 3D Printing Service Bureau in China. Prime Minister de Maizière commented on how much ahead of the game the Solidscape and Kangshuo Group initiative was in China.
Solidscape is proud to be a co-sponsor of the Design Museum Foundation’s Rapid Jewelry Design Competition and Exhibition. The finalists were displayed at the Engaged Body Exhibition at the Boston Architectural College from September through November 10th. The exhibit now moves to Portland then onto San Francisco and finally Chicago.
Solidscape was a Red Carpet Sponsor of Stay Work Play’s Rising Stars Awards, an exciting to celebrate NH’s young professionals, entrepreneurs and college students. This year the event took place on Oct 5th at the Space Entertainment Center in Hooksett, NH and not only included a fun red carpet, but also delicious food, a raffle, live music, and Tina Nadeau, Chief Justice of the NH Superior Court as the keynote speaker!
JewelryThis and Solidscape Launch 3D Jewelry Design Contest
Jewelrythis, a unique online 3D jewelry design marketplace and community, and Solidscape High Precision 3D Printers have joined forces to launch “The Spotlight is on You,” a monthly 3D jewelry design contest. Each month until March designers enter their designs inspired by a theme assigned to that month and a winner is chosen. In March, a final winner is chosen among the monthly winners to have their design displayed at Solidscape’s booth at Baselworld! We’re excited to see more designs on the road to Baselworld!

One-stop Shop for 3D Printing at formnext
Solidscape was part of Stratasys’ largest booth ever at formnext in November. The spectacular booth was a one-stop shop for 3D printing that included cutting-edge technology from Stratasys, Makerbot and Solidscape. The Solidscape case included amazing bronze casted parts by Carrera Casting and prototyping success story by YSC/Yamagata. Watch the customer experience video here.

On December 30th, Dror Habusha, the founder of JewelryThis, made a special visit to Solidscape HQ in Merrimack, NH. After a tour of Solidscape’s manufacturing floor, Dror was happy to show a sneak preview of the fantastic JewelryThis app that will be available soon.
