Last week our partner 3D-SYSTEM, LLC announced the three finalists of the Best Jewelry Design Project Competition at JUNWEX Moscow:
- Chamal S Jayaratna, Sri Lanka
- Nicolas Delouche, France
- Alexey Buchin, Russia
On Oct 1st at 3D-SYSTEM, LLC’s Stand D622, the winners were announced as chosen by our jury Carl Corten (Solidscape) and Maksim Stankov (3D-SYSTEM, LLC) and Budny Valery (JUNWEX). The jury also asked for the opinions of show attendees.
Platinum Award
Nicolas Delouche from France with his angel and death designs is our Platinum Award winner! Congratulations! After winning the award, Nicolas expressed his thanks, excitement and thankfulness that 3D-SYSTEM, LLC, Solidscape and JUNWEX give credit to creative 3D jewelry artists through this competition.
“It’s hard to have an opinion of my work. [The] aim was to have pieces with some complexity for 3D print. Detail is a part of it. That’s clear that with systems a part of jewelry is changing. A 3D design seems to have less value than a traditional build one. In my opinion it’s an open door to people who are creative to bring pieces in another dimension, with less physical and time constraint. So happy that people and the jury give credits to this work!”

Gold Award
Alexey Buchin from Russia is the winner of the Gold Award with this amazing ocean design!
Silver Award
And the Silver Award goes to Chamal S Jayaratna from Sri Lanka and his incredible globe pendant!
