Last year during the month of April for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month, Solidscape partnered with the Manchester Animal Shelter through fundraising activities and events held at Solidscape Headquarters in Merrimack, NH. The events were met with such great enthusiasm that we partnered with them again this year!
What Solidscape is doing to help:
- April 7th – 21st: Bake Sale every Friday
- April 7th – 27th: Personalized Pet Gift Order
- April 3rd – 27th: 50/50 Raffle
- April 27th: Lunch with the Lap Dogs
- April 28th: Manchester Animal Shelter visits Solidscape
The personalized pet gift orders were new this year and included key chains and plaques that can be customized with photos of pets and wording of choice.
Lunch with the Lap Dogs
On April 27th, we met Software Engineering Manager Joe Benoit’s adorable lap dogs, Cammie (Italian Greyhound) and Ayati (Xoloitzcuintle, or Mexican Hairless) for lunch. We met Cammie for a second time and Ayati made her first visit this year. They were as thrilled with all the attention as Solidscape employees were to give it during their lunch time! It was a perfect afternoon of meeting two new friends and swapping stories about our own pets.
Manchester Animal Shelter Visit
On April 28th Barb Borton, a volunteer of the Manchester Animal Shelter, visited Solidscape HQ to educate about the shelter’s programs and services such as Fix-a-Bit and the Cruisin’ for Critters Poker Run. Her favorite event is the Wine and Chocolate Fundraiser and Silent Auction. Barb has been volunteering at the shelter for 6-7 years and has many fun stories, videos and pictures to share about animals at the shelter. During the visit, Solidscape President & CEO Fabio Esposito also presented a check of Solidscape’s donations to the Manchester Animal Shelter.
About the Manchester Animal Shelter: At the Manchester Animal Shelter, we believe all animals are deserving of life, respect and care. The shelter takes in homeless, abused, and abandoned animals in the city of Manchester. We provide shelter, medical care, and spay/neuter to every animal that comes through our doors. In operation for nearly two decades, the shelter has helped provide care and find loving homes for over 20,000 animals.
